Train to be a Qualified Massage Therapist in a year during school term times achieving a Level 3 VTCT Diploma. We believe to be the best therapist you can be you need time to develop your skills and knowledge and have plenty of tutor guided lessons in class.

This VTCT course leads to an internationally recognized qualification to enable students to treat members of the public. Many learners use this diploma to work within the complementary therapies industry or as a self-employed Massage Therapist.

Please note that we run our YSHT diploma courses during school term dates  and take the same school holidays, bank holidays, half term dates and summer break (but not training days). Attendance on dates is extremely important.

Course Dates

We have sensibly decided to start the Body Massage diploma now in September 2021 when the virus will be more under control and most people will have had vaccinations. As you can imagine it’s been a very hard decision but one we feel most comfortable with. The cost of the course will not alter and although as a school we have made losses and no income for a year we have all the resources ready for the course as we were prepared to start in January 2021. Text books can be made available to you if you’d like to get started with a spot of reading and home study in the meanwhile.

What does the course cover?

All aspects of body massage are covered on this course. A wide range of practical techniques are taught and practiced so students really feel confident in their ability to treat others and adapt treatment. In addition to this, theory of complementary therapies and anatomy and physiology are examined and towards the end of the course a short business module helps students to prepare for their individual transition into the workplace.

How much does it cost?

A deposit of £550 secures your place, which can be paid in 2 installments of £275 before the start date in September 2020 followed by 12 monthly payments of £100

Classroom hours & teaching input

We are now providing teaching input of 150 hours instead of  the 110 hours that we have previously taught. We are the only York training centre offering as much teaching input in class for this diploma because we believe more class time and tutor support and input makes you a better therapist.
